Little Bit More

It’s a “Sassy Saturday”  and I decided to post a video/song that I enjoy very much. I am old school in my music tastes but I happen to connect with something in almost every genre. Just when I was about to give up on todays young generation(lol) a few artists still give me hope. Jidenna is an American recording artist and producer signed to Janelle Monae label Wondaland Records. His dad is Nigerian and mom is Caucasian so he has a balance of both worlds and I truly like his latest work “The Chief”.  Inspired by Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra, his style of dress and talent with singing/rhyming definitely holds true to his statement that he is a “Classic Man” Katherine Tyler for iHeartRadio

The video is set in the island of Jamaica and it incorporates Nigerian style as well. A beautiful native is the love interest and the song is enticing and carefree.

“Are we ever gonna know
You should make up your mind
Take you back to my shrine

And I’m a need the whole night
And a little bit more
I’m gonna need a whole night
They don’t know how you like it
I’m gonna need a whole night
And I’m a need the whole night
And a little bit more
I’m gonna need a whole night
They don’t know how you like it
I’m gonna need a whole night
And I’m a need the whole night
And a little bit more

Yeah, I got the feeling you’ve been here before
You needed tonight like a weekend ago
Yeah, you in or you out or you playing or folding

We in need of a moment
Are we ever gonna
You should make up your mind
Take you back to my shrine
Don’t you pay them no mind
Let them be, let them go
She was made for my eyes
We escape at times

And I’m a need the whole night
And a little bit more
I’m gonna need a whole night
They don’t know how you like it
I’m gonna need a whole night
And I’m a need the whole night
And a little bit more
I’m gonna need a whole night
They don’t know how you like it
I’m gonna need a whole night
And I’m a need the whole night
And a little bit more

Yeah, the party gets shallow the deeper we go
Telling you secrets that you shouldn’t know
Yeah, I feel like it’s just you and me on the floor

We in need of a moment
Are we ever gonna
You should make up your mind
Take you back to my shrine
Don’t you pay them no mind
Let them be, let them go
She was made for my eyes
We escape at times

And I’m a need the whole night
And a little bit more
I’m gonna need a whole night
They don’t know how you like it
I’m gonna need a whole night
And I’m a need the whole night
And a little bit more
I’m gonna need a whole night
They don’t know how you like it
I’m gonna need a whole night
And I’m a need the whole night
And a little bit more

And a little bit more
And a little bit more
And a little bit more
Just a little bit more
Wahala she no dey give me
Wahala she no dey give me
I dey want you plenti plenti
I dey want you plenti plenti
Oh me, oh my, plenti, plenti
Oh nah, plenti, plenti
Oh me, oh my, plenti, plenti
Oh nah, plenti, plenti

And I’m a need the whole night
And a little bit more
I’m gonna need a whole night
They don’t know how you like it
I’m gonna need a whole night
And I’m a need the whole night
And a little bit more
I’m gonna need a whole night
They don’t know how you like it
I’m gonna need a whole night
And I’m a need the whole night
And a little bit more”
