I received my first tag from another beautiful blogger Des. Check out her blog here https://reflectionofdes.com/ I’m usually not an eager participant in these types of things but I don’t mind posting my answers to the questions here.
What’s the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning? Give thanks! & Check on my daughter to make sure she’s in the shower, preparing for her school bus.
Do you believe there are still good people in this world? Yes, I sincerely believe that people are inherently good and many behaviors that are negative are usually taught, learned behaviors that we assume as part of our character.
What’s your favorite ice cream? Haagen-Daz Vanilla Swiss Almond. Simply the best! Vanilla Chocolate Chip is a close second.
What will be your next vacation? My next family reunion will be in Virginia Beach this summer but I have always wanted to go to Hawaii. It’s just something I heard about the island, people, food and the gorgeous waters.
Have you ever done something you regret? Yes. As I practice forgiveness(my next blog post), I realize that you can learn something from every event in life.
What’s your favorite TV show? I don’t watch much TV. I love movies, documentaries and concerts. Recently, I purchased Netflix bc my daughter wanted to try it out. I have enjoyed it. I saw a documentary on the legendary Miss Nina Simone and it was awesome. I did choose to watch Part 1 of a brand new series called “The Get Down”. Set in the year I was born, 1977, in my hometown, The Bronx, you know I’m loving it.
What’s the last dream you had? Lounging on an island of my choice with great company.
Do you believe in karma? As a Buddhist, of course I believe in the law of attraction and I believe in the spiritual principle of cause and effect. Good/bad karma.
What’s one memory from your childhood you won’t forget? My father owned a pool hall/store in the neighborhood and I remember having an actual true life pinball machine in our(my brother and I) bedroom. You know the arcade kind, and I thought that was something special.
Have you ever had a bad experience with someone on WordPress? Recently, I decided to follow a blog and I had read something disturbing pertaining to mental health. I gave advice and I feel that the response was essentially saying that my assistance was not needed. In turn, I had to accept that it is a choice to want help and it is my choice to wish them well and carry on. I’ve since unfollowed the blog but I maintain my hope that all goes well for this individual.
Did you enjoy my questions? Absolutely. Thank you for thinking of me!
