Doing well by doing good has increasingly been a go-to for many who want to succeed in their personal and professional life. Compassion is a sympathetic or empathetic awareness of others’ distress with a desire to alleviate it. It is an act that should also include oneself in order to be complete. If at any time you start to feel unhappy about present situations and circumstance, take a moment to see yourself with loving kindness and treat yourself accordingly. A moment of self-compassion can change your entire day and a display of the same towards others can spark a change in the course of their life. It can be so easy to get caught up in criticism, judgements or harsh opinions of others. One fact we should start to accept is that we all share different versions of aspirations, hopes and fears. Choosing to honor and respect this truth is the first step; nourishing hope and renewal. Allowing that creative energy to transform old and damaging beliefs and in its place, ones of restoration and empowerment. It can be a challenge, especially when confronted with individuals that may have a need to cause dissension or chaos. In those times, sometimes the best thing you can do is step away from the moment and when you go back, keep in mind that most times we often act based on what we have seen and heard. For many, tension has become a way of life..but it doesn’t have to remain this way. If you take time to look at people in the light of compassion, everything can change. Listen and respect..then fear is removed and compassion flows.
